Alfalfa usually has the highest feeding value of all common hay crops.  Its primary benefit is the high nutritional quality.  It has high protein content, making it great for cattle, horses, sheep and goats.  Our sunny Arizona climate makes it possible to harvest alfalfa almost year-round.  We have large and small alfalfa bales available.

With less protein than alfalfa, Bermuda hay serves as an excellent source of roughage for many types of livestock. It is a good source of vitamin A and D without an overload in protein, and it has a better balance between calcium and phosphorus.  We have bermuda bales for sale in small and large sizes.    

Teff is considered a premium hay for a wide range of livestock including cattle, beef, sheep and horses.  An alternative to Bermuda Grass, due to its higher protein and lower sugar content; its fine stem makes it very palatable.     Yuma is known for making high quality Teff, with primarily small bales available.

Sudan Grass is a high-quality, long fiber grass hay that can be fed directly to cattle, or as part of a mix.  Harvested in the summer months, it is an excellent export hay for cattle.   Sudan Hay is an excellent source of dietary fiber.

Straw is a byproduct of different kinds of crops.  Straw bales have a variety of uses,  including bedding, though when considering for feed it is typically only to supplement livestock’s food if they require more fiber in their diet. We offer a variety of straw types, including Wheat, Bermuda and Teff, in both large and small bale sizes.

A blend of alfalfa and bermuda grass hay, mixed hay can improve the palatability, increasing the sweetness for consumption.  Some horse owners prefer grass/legume mixes because a mixture can average out the content of certain key nutrients, making it appropriate for different classes of horses.

We use independent laboratories to test hay in order to meet customer criteria for moisture, feed value, ash, etc.  Large and Small Bales available.
